Our facilities

We are fortunate to have appealing, well-maintained indoor and outdoor spaces with ample resources to play and learn in.  Inside, the light-filled room is frequently changed and reshaped to allow for different modes of engaging with the space such as through learning centres, imaginative play, building, craft, quiet play, reading, collaborative play and independent play.

In 2014, the outdoor area at Deepdene Preschool was redeveloped to make the play space a more tactile, sensory experience for the children and a flexible space which allows different modes of imaginative and interesting play.  The new outdoor space includes natural features such as rocks, a digging patch, tepee and a variety of plantings to allow children to actively engage with the natural environment.  Exciting new outdoor play equipment was also installed under the existing shade cloth. In addition to the new equipment, the outdoor play area is changed frequently, to challenge the children to acquire new skills and to play in a variety of ways.
