Melinda Nicholson:  Nominated Supervisor / 4-year-old Green Group Teacher Introduction Video

Mel began working at Deepdene Preschool in 2014 and is our Director and 4 year old group educator, she has over 10 years experience in Early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood). Mel believes in catering for each child’s individual needs by designing a program that lets them learn and develop at their own pace. Her aim is to create a visually enticing space that welcomes to the children to explore their interests. Mel has two children and two step children, family and diversity are very important to her.

Emma Byrne:  3-year-old Yellow Group Teacher Introduction Video

Emma joined the team at Deepdene Preschool in 2016 as our 3 year old group teacher. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood),together with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Graduate Diploma in Business. She recognises that all children learn differently and tries to provide a fun and engaging program to reflect this and ensure that everyone is included. She takes great joy in seeing the children’s interests and skills develop and change throughout their time in Yellow Group.

Kerry Madden: Co-Educator Introduction Video

Kerry is the co-educator with the 4 year old Green group and has been at Deepdene Preschool for approximately 10 years. She is a firm believer in providing high quality education for all children and is very passionate about play based learning, particularly throughout the child’s formative years. Kerry has completed her Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.

Liesl Christopoulos: Co-Educator Introduction Video

Liesl commenced working at Deepdene Preschool in 2016 as one of our co-educators. She has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and has extensive experience working with children with additional needs. Liesl has two teenage children and thoroughly enjoys her role working with the kindergarten children.
